Recidivism - Is it a real problem in an Australian Major Trauma Service ?

In this issue we are pleased to have a review of recidivism and the use of external fixators for control of pelvic haemorrhage in haemodynamically unstable patients. The accompanying editorial and article provide an insight into the lack of strong scientific evidence favouring modalities currently used in haemorrhage control in patients with major pelvic trauma.
